I've just had a play and you are right Dave. Start it, minimise it and the splash screen stays there doing nothing. The splash screen has a timer that is called during Windows "OnIdle" calls. If the app is minimised these OnIdle calls never happen, so the splash screen never times out. Definitely time to change the silly splash screen class :) This will be fixed in the upcoming 2.10 release. -- frag

This latest release 2.9.15 has fixed one litle niggle, I like to drag the Outbox and Filter bars onto the same row as the toolbar and occasionally they would jump down underneath now they seem stable and stay put.
