The pane brought up by selecting Unison > Servers > Edit Servers from the menubar allows one to specify a "Backup Server" for each included server. According to the pane that servers is "Used if an article is missing on this server." That sounds to me as exactly the wanted behavior. -- James Leo Ryan --- Austin, Texas --- taliesinsoft(a)me.com

That feature doesn't work when entire newsgroups don't exist on a particular server, just when there are some articles missing in a newsgroup that exists on both servers.

Change your server to the one that carries your particular newsgroup and join it - then clicking on its name in the sidebar downloads headers seamlessly. -- Cheers Derryck

Yes - this works if I keep switching the active server. However, in my original post, I said I shouldn't have to do this. The program should automatically open the correct server for a group without the user having to manually keep switching the active server.

No need to fiddle with the "Servers" option. -- Cheers Derryck |
