You obviously care enuff to post on it twice. (Maybe three times)?

Actually, since there isn't a store in northern Idaho or western
Montana, this is also of interest to folks from about 160 miles west of
Spokane to about 300 miles east and probably 200 miles north or south.
Having moved to this area from the Silicon Valley, going from a
plethora of Apple Stores within 20 miles to none within 300 miles was a
major system(ic) shock. Having talked to Mac owners from Montana,
Idaho, eastern Oregon, eastern British Columbia, and Alberta, there are
a lot of Mac owners who had it even worse than I.

From that perspective, opening an Apple Store in downtown Spokane makes
service and availabillity a lot better for a wide geographic area. In
case any others from this fairly wide and previously unserved
geographic area is concerned, the rumoredd address is 710 W. Main (the
old Eddie Bauer facility).

Now, if only Trader Joe's, In-n-Out Burger, El Pollo Loco, and a few
other chains would appear here, our outlook on the economy would be
even more positive :)

Yes, seriously. Is it really that hard to imagine that someone having
relatives that live there, or in the act of planning a trip there, might
want to know that Apple is opening a store there?

Note that I personally feel that strongly about it either way. I'm just
saying...

Let me get this straight. You would have me believe someone with
relatives who live there, or someone planning a trip there, or someone
with a friend there who has been waiting for a local store to make a Mac
purchase, or any of the plethora of other possible reasons - none of
those people would be remotely interested in such news, right?
Riiiight. Let's try not to be so inconsiderate. While the post was
certainly off-topic in this particular news group, it's almost certainly
of interest to some people who may read these news groups. That
shouldn't be a very hard concept to grasp for most people.

Then ignore the post. Jesus. You're making this out to be much more than
need be. It's not like anyone is forcing you to read it - or is there
something we don't know about you? : )

We used to joke about narrow-minded Ontario provincialism: the headline
reads "Scarborough Man Dies in New York Nuclear Holocaust."

Of course, the Scarborough man would pronounce it "nukulur."
