Granted An Apple Store isn't a Pay & Save, But There should be Apple Service Centers ( Authorized Technicians ) within 50 miles of 99.99% of everyone in North America.

But authorized technicians don't have to work at Apple Stores. As I mentioned in a previous post, Micro Center has an Apple department, and they're also authorized technicians. We also have many independent Apple technicians. But this is the Boston area, a very tech-friendly area. It would be very expensive for Apple to set up enough Apple Stores to achieve your goal. They seem like very expensive stores to operate: Genius Bars don't come cheap. That's the downside of having very high standards, it's expensive to maintain them. -- Barry Margolin, barmar(a)alum.mit.edu Arlington, MA *** PLEASE post questions in newsgroups, not directly to me *** *** PLEASE don't copy me on replies, I'll read them in the group ***
