Oh, I'm just a homebody...or something like that:

Experiences will vary, of course. As I said, l agree that I used to
see a lot of thumb drives, but with our IT banning them, that clearly
has had an impact and this would of course be localized to our
business circles.

I do have to admit that I've been moderately surprised by how well
we've been able to 'survive' without them...and the trickle-down is
that it has changed my workflows overall: I don't even use them much
at all on my Macs (where they're not banned): without moving from
wherever I'm sitting, I'll just wirelessly login, then do a wireless
transfer.

Insofar as the rest, I simply don't see nearly as many mice on laptops
as 3G cards. And what neither of us have apparently seen at all is an
external hard drive.

looks like you didn't do much traveling last year, as your status is
expired. ;D

i didn't see that- i see external drives once in a while, but
definitely not often.

Or something like that <g>. Prognosticating on 2010/11, I'm
expecting fewer trips to EU and more to DC, so I'll get dramatically
fewer miles while keeping just as many segments; will probably result
in a bump down in level after 2/11.

Exactly, which is contrary to the claims of "Doom!" by the iPundits,
which isn't particularly surprising, since there's a lot more FFM
Travel Poseurs than Warriors.
