I mailed ring2skype support and was advised to add ring2skype.net to my
Skype contact list and, hey presto, it works, even on S2

If you read their FAQs or 90% of the problems on their forum,
you have to add ring2skype.net to your Skype contacts list.

It works fine to my S2

Making 3 Skype phones the first UK mobile to be able
to call at landline rate without having to pay Skype for SkypeIn

Unfortunately CLI isn't passed on, you get ring2skype on your
screen so you don't know who is calling you.

Sounds like a great idea, if it worked...

UK London number - callers get "All circuits are busy now", other end hangs
up without allowing you to enter an extension

Canada Toronto number - callers get a message sounding like a dodgy chat
line, "Press 2 to hang out with the other callers" etc., no option to enter
an extension number

That's why i went for a 0161 Manchester number i figured there'd be less
demand

So far works fine

After adding ring2skype.net to my Skype contact list my Prague number
seems to work OK. The problem is that the request to dial extension is made
in English . i.e. it is not tailored to the location of the number. I
wonder if the caller has to wait for an announcement to end or can dial
extension straight away.
