From: grizzz on 21 Jun 2010 13:22 It seems like every time we push office updates about 25% of our computers lose their tiff File association. Does anyone know why this happens? I'm having a hard time fixing it. We can't use a reg fix because we don't have a standard tif viewer. Right now we are having to touch every machine to fix it. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What is file type TIFF associated with now (and before the issue occurred on the majority of the systems)? -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

Hi Shenan, Right now there is no association. When they click tiff it asks them which program they would like to view the file with. Before the SP update the tiff files would open in MODI. Thank you!
