Another thing about my neighborhood deer--a woman walks her two dogs
(both Great Pyrenees and huge)daily. One morning she walked by when I
was outside and I asked her if the deer were afraid of her dogs; she
said that they pay no attention to them. I watched as she went on and
came to a doe foraging a couple of feet back from the curb. The doe
turned her head, nodded as if to say "good morning" and went back to
eating. Totally civilized, unless someone approaches a fawn.

I try to get down to Ithaca every chance I get. It's only about a 40
minute drive from Seneca Falls.

Thanks. It actually looks a little like upstate New York.

In keeping with the theme of this thread, here is a photo I took a

While it's not uncommon to have 40+ deer amble by the edge of my woods
every sunset-lit evening, and have tons of images of them, I prefer
something a little more artistic,

or humorous.

Like this one taken through my picture-window last winter,

I was showing it everyone's usenet-posted crapshots.
