Use your browser to connect to www.orange.co.uk. Click on "Check
email" and try to sign into your Freeserve email account. If
your sign-in is successful, then you will know the account is
still live. Otherwise, you will receive an error message,
"Invalid username or password. Please try again".

Alternatively, you will find contact details at
http://help.orange.co.uk/orangeuk/support/selfservice/index.jsp

If you have a subscription Freeserve mail account, it should
remain live, provided you continue to pay your monthly
subscription.

If it is a "pay-as-you-go" dial-up account, it will be suspended
if you haven't dialled in within the previous 219 days (via the
expensive 0844 telephone number).

You will find further details via the help pages at
http://help.orange.co.uk/orangeuk/support/selfservice/index.jsp.

Be aware that you are using the awful web interface to participate in
this newsgroup. It's the slowest, clunkiest, most error-prone method
of using the newsgroups there is. Do yourself a favor and switch to a
newsreader, such as Outlook Express, which comes with Windows XP, or
Windows Mail, which comes with Vista. See
