From: Ian on 19 Feb 2010 09:14 Able to send emails and even receive some spam emails in Outlook Express, but mysteriously unable to receive emails from family members. [Note: Recently reformatted hard drive and reinstalled Windows XP, SP3, Outlook express 6.0, Internet Explorer 8 and installing various types of software. Internet connection and other email services work OK] TEST 1 Outlook Express sent to two other e-mail services in my name; succesful TEST 2 Reply from same other e-mail services in my name to Outlook Express ; also succesful TEST 3 Sent out various e-mails to family. They claimed to have pressed SEND on replies, but none arrived. (None of them are blocked messages so cannot think why) What have I missed or done wrong? Please advise Thanks - Ian 19th February 14:13 P.S. I posted this earlier but it seems to have gone

Your Outlook Express only reads what is in this account. Several companies (know commonly as Internet Service Providers (ISP)) can also ad "SPAM" email filtering. Several times, these "SPAM" filters can be set too high and blocks every incoming emails.
From: Ian on 19 Feb 2010 11:05 An Outlook Express specialised newsgroup sounds like a good idea. I did not know they existed. They are not on the list to the left here; could you post the URL and I will try there.
