Thank you Ian.

I couldn't have figured that in a week.

Have a great weekend :-)

Thanks again guys. I looked through your
instructions and could not find anything
that helped. So I dumped PDFXViewer and did the
job with Irfanview. Maybe in the next century
PDFXViewer will be usable.

Ignore my ramblings - I was also about to chuck it but the following
response works ok:

I'm glad you got it to work. Has 'JD') given up?

It may be worth mentioning that there IS one problem which I have with
the PDF-XChange Viewer typewriter tool, and that is with the Border
Style of the text box (where the typewriting goes).

For filling forms, I usually set the line width to '0' (no line), and
set this to be the default style. However, every so often, there is a
tendency for this to change to '1' (which I think is the original
default), so I get an unwanted line. But it's easily re-set and
liveable-with. Maybe it's just something I'm doing!

Thanks Martin. I got my job done with Irfanview in
about 10 minutes.

I don't understand the following:

>>> If you're talking about the Typewriter tool...
>>> Click on the Typewriter Tool.

OK Martin and a small postage stamp size window
opens for a second or two and then vanishes.
Then to the right of the word Typewriter is a Text
Tool Box that disappears equally quickly after
being clicked.
To the right of that is the Callout Tool - same
thing - opens a tiny window and then shuts it.

>>> Click on the document (to open a typewriter
field).

What document? and what is a "typewriter field"?
If you are referring to the postage stamp size
windows, they don't stay open long enough to do
anything.

Must there be a document already opened in XChange
Viewer? I tried with and without
a document in the Viewer but there was no difference.

Speaking of brainlessness - this program really
takes the biscuit.

Enjoy your weekend Martin or what's left of it.

Thanks for trying :-)
