Could be the solution to the OP question - default seems to be Courier, and is very pale. Basically, you need to get the Manual - www.docu-track.com/pdf/Manual.pdf Go to page 192, follow the (excessively long-winded) method for setting the default font. You need to type ctrl-e to turn on the options toolbar, but there's more ....

Go to page 192, follow the instructions - "How to set a new default font " etc. The manual appears to be damaged - I had to use a screen grabber to extract the page and print it. PDFXViewer is very useful but also very irritating - setting default settings is long-winded and unintuitive.

If you're talking about the Typewriter tool... Click on the Typewriter Tool. Click on the document (to open a typewriter field). The font toolbar should open. Set the font you want (font, size, bold, colour etc). Right-click on the typewriter field. In the drop-down menu, click on 'Set Current Appearance as Default'. And that's it. -- Ian
