And they have sod all to do with scart pins, i think the poster is confusing
his composite and his component.

So what are the component<-->scart adapters for? They seem less common
than composite<-->scarts and seem to often have warnings that they'll
only work if the scart is 'properly enabled', but I haven't worked out
what that means yet.

Some sets (although I've not found one myself) come with 'component in'
on the SCART sockets.

Most only offer RGB, composite and S-Video over SCART, with component
being a separate set of sockets.

Ah. So no use when I'm looking for something that is *common* on TVs
then...

I completely forgot to order the composite cable, I'll do it tomorrow.
