Seconded.

(PS to group, sorry for my "non-participation" in the PL-process so
far, way overloaded at work, little or no spare time ATM)

(1) PROGRAM NAME: IZArc

(2) LINK: http://www.izarc.org/

(3) DESCRIPTION: From web site: "Freeware archive utility supporting many

C2D, CAB, CDI, CPIO, DEB, ENC, GCA, GZ, GZA, HA, IMG, ISO, JAR, LHA, LIB,
LZH, MDF, MBF, MIM, NRG, PAK, PDI, PK3, RAR, RPM, TAR, TAZ, TBZ, TGZ, TZ,
UUE, WAR, XXE, YZ1, Z, ZIP, ZOO. With a modern easy-to-use interface, IZArc
provides support for most compressed and encoded files, as well as access
to many powerful features and tools. It allows you to drag and drop files
from and to Windows Explorer, create and extract archives directly in
Windows Explorer, create multiple archives spanning disks, creating self-
extracting archives, repair damaged zip archives, converting from one
archive type to another, view and write comments and many more. IZArc has
also build-in multilanguage support.

With IZArc you can open CD image files like ISO, BIN, CDI and NRG.
It is also possible to convert such files from one type to another (BIN to
ISO, NRG to ISO)."

Personally, I like this program better than Winzip (commercial archiving
program). There is also a portable version that I keep on my USB drive.

(1) PROGRAM NAME: Juice

(2) LINK: http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net/index.php

(3) DESCRIPTION: Juice lets users select and download shows and music and
play whenever they want on their iPods, portable digital media players, or
computers automatically.

I have not seen any development of this program for some time but I have
found no other program to download podcasts. I use it to download several
NPR (National Public Radio) shows that I copy to my mp3 player.

(1) PROGRAM NAME: Karen's Replicator

(2) LINK: http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptreplicator.asp

(3) DESCRIPTION: From web site: "Automatically backup files, directories,
even entire drives! Karen's Replicator copies selected files from one
drive/folder to another. Source and Destination folders can reside anywhere
on your network.

Options include repeated copies at intervals as short as a few minutes, or
as long as several months, copy only files that have changed, and the
replication of folder and file deletions."

For me, this is one of those programs that gets automatically gets
installed on any new system or rebuild that I do for myself. Maybe not as
flashy as some other programs but seems to work for what I need which is
mainly backing up certain data directories.
