I am suggesting the electron moves to a higher orbital upon the
absorption of the quantum of mæther by the atom because there now exists
more mæther between the electron and the nucleus of the atom. The
quantum of mæther occupies three dimensional space between the electron
and the nucleus, forcing the electron into a higher orbital.

There is no such thing as a graviton. It is not known if the aether
consists of particle or not. The aether behaves as a 'one something'.

so, the maether is aerodynamic, and
the electrons are flying wings. good.

for my own sake, this takes too much time,
I am going to see how to install a killfile;
no hard feelings & good luck with honing
that theory (like, explaining *any* thing,
like the index of refraction or permeability or
what-have-you).

parting shot:
if there's no need of a graviton -- and,
I totally agree with theAlfven school on that --
what need is of a particle of light?

hey, didn't I put you into my killfile ...
not yet!

new theoy, folks. it's not "electromagnetism"
that quantizes the electron orbitals of atoms,
it's a maethon; see?... the photon just
went and dysappeared into a theory.

There is a particle of light because of:

'Single Photon Interference'

"Rather than the usual screen, the arrival of individual photons is
registered and stored electronically. This alone is evidence for the
graininess or particle nature of light."

In a double slit experiment the photon is not detected like an ocean
wave hitting the shore. The photon is registered as an individual
point. It requires many photons to create the interference pattern.

When the photon is detected a very small region of the photon wave
collapses and is detected as a quantum of mæther. The quantum of
mæther is the photon particle.

When a photon is absorbed by an atom what is being absorbed is a
quantum of mæther. The quantum of mæther absorbed by the atom forces
the electron into a higher orbital.
