Is there a way to turn off the email with subject "Working Remotely with
Windows Small Business Server". I think it is sent to members of the Remote
Web Workplace Users group when you run the Remote Access wizard?

Hello Bob,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that you do not want to receive
the "Working Remotely with Windows Small Business Server" email when you
run the wizards on SBS. If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't
hesitate to let me know.

Based on my research, the e-mail "Working Remotely with Windows Small
Business Server" is sent to members of Remote Web Workplace Users group as
they are added to that group.

There are three places to trigger the creation and sending of this e-mail.
In all cases, sending the e-mail will be disabled if Sendmail is set to 0
(off).

A. Internet Connection Wizard

When the RWW's URL is changed, the e-mail is sent to all users that exist
in the group. In other words, if Sendmail is set to 1 and URL is changed by
CEICW, those users will receive the e-mail.

B. Add User Wizard

If a new user, a member of RWW group, is created, and both Sendmail and
State are set to 1, this user will receive the e-mail.

C. Change User Permissions Wizard

If an existing user is added to the group, and both Sendmail and State is
set to 1, this user will receive the e-mail.

Therefore, if you do not want to receive the email, you can perform the
following methods:

Method 1: Change the register key "Sendmail" and "State" to "0" under
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SmallBusinessServer\RemoteUserPortal.

Method 2: Remove user from the Remote Web Workplace Users group.

I hope these steps will give you some help.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Best regards,

Terence Liu(MSFT)
