Tim,

For the range of reports these guys use, there is no performance
problems so there is no efficiency to gain. It is simply no more complex
than that. The users prefer the feature set of RP2 - what can I say?

However, the big, big, big, BIG, big thing is that RP2 is written in VO
GUI classes. It is customised for our use and for our SQL use with
VO2Ado. This is not possible with RP3 and so we consider RP3 vastly
inferior.

Geoff

PS - but we do get 5333's with RP3 that we don't get with RP2. Perhaps
this is because of the OCX nature -the reason is irrelevant. They
happen.

Hi Richard

Many thanks for the code - I have PDF995 and will certainly give it a
try.

It sounds as tho Robert is planning further work on Report Pro - this
is my preferred route as we have hundreds of users already using it.

Regards

John

Hi Robert

Thanks for getting back to me on this is excellent news.

Report Pro 2 has served me well since it's earliest incarnation and
I'm delighted that you are delivering some of the features we've been
wanting for so long.

I'll keep my eye out for the service pack.

Thanks too for the additional VO2ADO licenses - we're using Advantage
a-la-SQL plus SQL 2005 and VO2ADO is an invaluable aid.

Best regards

John
