From: pecoswild on 16 Oct 2009 08:43 WSUS appears to be working fine. Tracking PCs is correct as well. It just the reports that are the problem. I never receive them any longer and when I attempt to run them manually I the SBS console dies just as described in the original post. Thanks -- pecoswild
From: "Robbin Meng [MSFT]" on 19 Oct 2009 03:15 Hello, Thanks for your response. Since the WSUS service and components are working fine, let's focus on the Monitoring and Reporting features. To get more clues, I would like to suggest you check what is recorded in the "Monitoring Report Summary Network Report" log under "C:\Program Files\Windows Small Business Server\Logs\MonitoringServiceLogs" folder. Please open the latest one and check the log file carefully and see if there is any record like "XML generated ", "HTML generated" , "Report email sent..." etc, otherwise, if the email is not generated or sent, there may be any error messaged logged. This is very important for our further research and troubleshooting. So please copy and paste the "Monitoring Report Summary Network Report" log under "C:\Program Files\Windows Small Business Server\Logs\MonitoringServiceLogs" folder as I mentioned above. Moreover, you may also refer to the following TechNet article to repair the Monitoring and Reporting feature in SBS 2008: Repair monitoring and reporting features in Windows Small Business Server 2008 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd560614(WS.10).aspx Hope this helps. From: pecoswild on 19 Oct 2009 13:13 Thank you for the reply. I didn't know where it was keeping those logs. At any rate, I do see errors in the Monitoring Report Summary and I did follow the link to repairing, but it appears that all the services required are installed and running correctly after going through Microsoft's repair process. From: "Robbin Meng [MSFT]" on 20 Oct 2009 05:33 Hello, Thanks for your feedback. After my long time research of the log file, unfortunately I didn't find any useful information related. Based on the current situation, I would like you first try to re-run the IAMW wizard and then apply the latest SBS 2008 updates Rollup 2 or Rollup 3.
