Assuming you have a DVD drive that allows you to read the video files as data, VLC is probably the best for this. There is also MacTheRipper, but AFIAK it was abandoned, as in no longer maintained. You can find the files around, but I have no idea if it will run on your current Mac. The people that sell Toast sell a program called Popcorn. If your drive does not read DVD files as data, which are some early Intel Mac drives, then I don't think there is anything that will do it. Geoff. -- Geoffrey S. Not necessarily. Finder/Go/Go to Folder and then choose /Volumes. I think that should work, but personally, yeah, I'd do it from the terminal: cd /Volumes/[whatever]/ cp VIDEO_TS ~/Desktop should do it. I see you got Handbrake to work. A point of curiousity, since you've apparently solved your problem: Will MTR willing to rip the thing--does it recognize the content of this disc? -- If you limit your actions in life to things that nobody can possibly find fault with, you will not do much. -- Lewis Carroll

Version 3 had a complicated process toget, because of legal issues. Version 4 is still quite complicated, but not as bad. In particular upgrades, when available, can be obtained automatically. -- <http://www.decohen.com> Send e-mail to the Reply-To address. Mail to the From address is never read.
