From: LMI on 1 Apr 2010 08:11 Al, I followed the notes on that example and I still got the same result a failed backup. When I tried again to exclude the F;\ drive it gave me the same answer as my previous issue above. I went under notes and saw this: To exclude folders from the backup Click Exclude folders. In the dialog box that appears, click Add folder. Browse to the folder that you want to exclude, and then click OK. Notes You cannot exclude CD drives, floppy disk drives, or mapped network drives from the backup. All of the files and subfolders contained within the folders you choose to exclude from the backup are not available for restore after a system failure. To remove folders from the list of excluded items, select the folder in the Exclude folders dialog box, and then click Remove. From: Al Williams on 1 Apr 2010 10:19 Like Larry said - the message "cannot be removed from the excluded folder list" indicates you were trying to not exclude it. Exclude the entire drive F from the backup and verify your backup fits on your external drive. Has the backup ever worked? -- Allan Williams LMI wrote: > Al, I followed the notes on that example and I still got the same > result a failed backup.
