From: Al Williams on 31 Mar 2010 12:22 Looks like the backup completed but the verify is failing. The log shows the verify of drive D's backup failed and I assume now it is hung verifying whatever drive comes after D. I'd check your backup device - check free space, do a chkdsk on it. Also - what is F:New Volume in your backup? You're not trying to backup the backup device are you? You must exclude it. -- Allan Williams LMI wrote: > I have configured my backup to start running at 9pm everyday. From: LMI on 31 Mar 2010 13:34 Al thank you for your response. You are correct the F: drive is where i want things backed up to however it seems as if the backup configuration wizard will not let me excluded it. When I try and select the folder to be excluded it says: " This folder contains your backup files and cannot be removed from the excluded folder list". I hope this helps! From: Al Williams on 31 Mar 2010 15:14 It should be excluded automatically IIRC when you run the wizard. From: Larry Struckmeyer[SBS-MVP] on 31 Mar 2010 19:01 the message apprears to say that the target folder is already excluded, which is what you want. I also exclude that drive in its entireity, and also any mapped or attached drives that have non essential data. - Larry Please post the resolution to your issue so others may benefit - Get Your SBS Health Check at www.sbsbpa.com > It should be excluded automatically IIRC when you run the wizard. > Maybe have a look at this, particularly the comments from MS support: > > http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/30956350/sbs-2003-backup-ex > clude-n.aspx > > LMI wrote: > >> Al thank you for your response.
