From: Stephen on 21 Jun 2010 06:20 I let my MBP do a software update which included Safari 5. Afterwards, Flash player has been pants, and I can't use Google Groups at all. Yeah! I know, some if not all of you would say "Don't use Google Groups", but there are several locations I go to, where a news reader cannot be used, so rather than chop and change, I have just stuck with Google. I can get to the "My Groups" page, bu when I click on one of my selected groups to read, Safari gets stuck in a redirection loop. There are what looks like three URLs appearing insequence, and it never stops. So... I downloaded Safari 4.0.5, discarded Safari 5 into the trash, emptied the trash and install 4.0.5 using Pacifist. This has not cured the problem though. Flash is working better, or should I say at well as it ever has, but Google Groups still doesn't work. Anyone know of this problem and of a fix?

Which version of Flash Player were you using with Safari 5.0, the latest is 10.1.53.64

Using a stored UCSM bookmark, clicking it gave the same reload/reload/reload/etc behavior. I /think/ something similar happened when I tried with Safari too (but not exactly sure). In the end I just navigated to UCSM through the "front door" and re-saved the bookmark (although it was decidedly different from the one I had stored previously for some reason). Mark

Still with Safari 4.0.5, I haven't let it go back up to Safari 5 yet.

Still with Safari 4.0.5, I > haven't let it go back up to Safari 5 yet. I managed it somehow, but I've no idea why it seems to have worked. I navigated to my Google account preferences, and when to the page to manage group subscriptions. This page has a set of links to go to the group message listings, and these work. From there the "My Groups" links work. If I navigate to the "My Groups" page via the "More > Groups" drop down on the Google.co.uk home page, then it doesn't work.
