Hi all,

I am thinking of getting skype on my mobile to help cut costs of calls to
landlines.
I currently pay 20p per min, but skype rekons only 1.4p ??

I only have a wap connection ( old genie contract ), so i dont know how it
will fair with quality, is there any ideas how it might fair?

I have also been trying to find out whats the smallest skype payg credit,
but i cant find one?

Thanks

If it's dial up it'll only be 9k6bps which is too slow, if GPRS it'll be up
to
40kbps which would do

Lowest i could do was a 10quid PAYG Skype top up at Sainsburys

If you want cheap calls get yourself a GiffGaff PAYG sim, (O2 network)
use a Debit or Credit card to put a tenner on it (no e-tops) ;-(

and use it's free 0800 with a callthrough like lycatalk or 1899.com
(around 2 to 3p per min landlines)

Is there 0800 access to the 1899 callthrough service then?
I'd thought it was 020... only, from a mobile.

0808 1708708

You may find Lycatalk cheaper for short UK landline calls,
as 1899.com make a connection charge
