I see them as gratuitous rudeness, totally out of order.

People like Pd are a major social problem in my book.

I despise Pd because of his consistently shitty behaviour towards
others.

Where I come from, a Brummagen or Manc screw driver's a hammer.

What do you mean, `quite'? I don't see that there's a lot of point
paying attention to anyone's views of the gadget for a bit, not unless
you're seriously interested in buying one.

Al this wittering about what part it'll play in the society of the
future and how come it got developed - you know, I've read precisely
*NO* iPad opinions that aren't flatly factually incorrect in some
fashion. <shrug> They can't get their basic facts right, so their
extraplotations are even worse cobblers than usual.

I suppose I'm interested from a sociological point of view - how come
all this fuggin crab gets written at all, where these wrong ideas come
from, and so on.

But one thing I've noticed is a disdain for ARM in a lot of cases -
curious. I get the idea that these US commentators don't believe it's
real because it's not American or Japanese, you know? Yurrupeen, and so
small and silly and worthless and obviously Apple's in full control of
the CPU because Apple wants that.

So these people seem to be telling me.

Except that I see The Steve just using the industry standard commodity
part, as per usual. Use an ARM because it's the best processing power
per watt for *that* job, as every fule kno, which is why the bloody
things are everywhere.

Becasue someone who has used something has a better knowledge of what
something is like to use over someone who hasn't used it.

As I am broadly (but not entirely) in agreement on his opinion of other
devices he and I have used, I find his opinion has merit as to how I
would find the device.
