I got the T-Mobile sorry page last night which says: "Our techies are
doing clever stuff behind the scenes to make T-Mobile even better, and
they work their magic best when no- one's looking."

I wonder if Apple ever loses sales during these store closures.
Presumably some people might go to the store, see it's down
and not come back. Is the marketing effect always sufficient to
make it a net gain for Apple? I should imagine it is or Apple
wouldn't keep doing it, but one wonders.

Actually it's a good point that, somebody says 'the stores down' and
half the world who up to that moment had no interest in the store, find
themselves hitting refresh till it's back up. I bet they do gain some
sales of people caught in the moment.
