From: Greegor on 4 Aug 2010 13:35 I live near the Mother Mosque of America (In Iowa!) and much like New Jork, we have Islamic people who have been Americans for 150+ years. I find them to be more of honor and principle than most other US Citizens and a supremely important resource for the US military because of language and culture. What a terrible shame it would be if we were to turn AMERICAN Islamic people against our own country because of the emotional intolerance and presumption that ALL Islamic people are a threat to the USA. If we can see past our emotional upset and live up to the Constitutional ideals we will ensure a military asset more valuable than any technology, loyal AMERICAN Islamic people. I am an economic conservative. Seal the borders.

Seal the borders. Indeed! I think the problem in New York is the Imam behind the funding, and the source of the funding itself (likely Saudi Arabia). They are happy to accept the 'official statements' of the corporations and politicos just to parrot them back to us without any checking... Hey, real fact checking takes resources and money. Oppie

Seal the borders. It often takes sacrifice to build a strong nation. While I understand your points, the individuals in question here must choose between being an American, and being Islamic - at least when it comes to the proposed mosque in NYC. And I suppose it's a bit of a false choice, since there are plenty of mosqes anyway. Is it that big a sacrifice to forego a mosque at ground zero?? What if I were Japanese and I wanted to build an Emperor's Palace atop the US Arizona? Or let's say I wanted to build a McDonalds atop the Kaaba. My point being, it's insensitive. I'm with the families and survivors on this one. No mosque at Ground Zero. Regardless of the motives, which I'm sure, at least in part are well- intentioned, a mosque at Ground Zero is a terrorists version of "rally 'round the flag".

Well said. AND we never hear these "non-violent' Islamics denouncing the activities of the extremists. That makes me suspicious, at the very least. And yes, the Imam IS the main part of the problem, and makes it even MORE suspicious. They have plenty of mosques in that area already, and this one should not only never be, it should be denounced as what it is. An attempt at a claim of victory over an enemy they claim we are not... until they decide to attack us again. I am all for freedom of peaceful religions, but if it is not peaceful, it does not qualify to be called a religion at all. Their very doctrines contain hate and violence. What the world should do is declare what qualifies as a religion. The final analysis would only declare one as not being such. It is truly sad that all these centuries, the rest of the world has complacently stood by watching all the atrocities these jerks have foisted onto the world. We should eradicate every goddamned one of them, and let God decide whether or not we were right. The world would be a better place for it. Sorry to all of those that were too stupid to realize that hate and killing is what got them the result they sought. They can be alone in their graves, with their religion. So to all that do not, on a daily basis, denounce ALL activities by ALL Muslims that are against any and all free nations, you will see no mercy. Kill 'em. Kill 'em all. Shed ONE tear afterward to cover the failure to do it forty years ago. |
