Words in capitals certainly are not SPELLED OUT AS "THIS IS INDICATING". Many of them don't use dictionaries these days either for acronyms, they are determined by the speech engine in use. Only acronyms that couldn't be confused as words are read correctly, things like DLA, UCSM, or YMCA. Anything that is remotely a word will be spoken normally.
