To use these call through nos. - only via 3 - do you have to take out
credit with the co. as a top up - or is the call cost deducted from 3
credit? I'm not sure I'd trust them yet with my debit catd no.

It's a typical Callthrough using a networks (in this case Three) short code,
you call 351 0200 etc, it should charge you at 2p per min from your
PAYG credit, easily checked by calling 444 option 1 credit remaining,
and then again after the call to hear how much it's reduced by.

Like most callthroughs it charges as soon as you make the call,
whether or not it successfully connects.
As such i doubt if i would chance using it to call UK mobiles
on it's higher 10p rate number

Is there a single 'one click' way of dialling the no. to call say
landline BT 01234 123 456, e.g.

3510200 pause 00441234123456

or maybe

3510200 pause +441234123456

Yes of course, at least on Nokia phones, many others like the S2 are
simular.

Pressing the star button 3 times produces a "P" which is a 2 second pause,
if that's not enough add as many as you need together.
e.g. 3510200pp00441234123456
and save it to a phone memory

Yes - this works for me.

Actually I have set this up up with 4 p's (the '#' held down gives a
'p')

So the no. is now:

3510200pppp00441234123456

But on the S2 this is too long for a direct entry to the contacts
directory, so I entered it as a 'speed dial' no. for '4'. Then I
created a new contact for the person in the directory linking to the
speed dial no. of 4.

AND IT WORKED. And my recent call of 30 mins only cost 60p. Last time
I did this using Three itself it cost me £6 - although when I
complained Three refunded this.

Great stuff.
