I have no problem with a discussion about the 3 callthrough, as I suspect you know well enough. Earlier in this thread, you tried to use pressure tactics to get me to say more than was wise; ( ignoring Graham's good explanation for silence in the 7th post in this thread. ) You resorted to course language ( your 8th post began: "Utter bollocks", and ended with: I "might as well have kept my gob shut"! ) And you tried to provoke me with your talk about my "loosing my bottle" in your 10th post. If you don't find such behaviour reprehensible, then that says more about yourself than it does about me. ;) My post, in reply to john hamilton, who so kindly likened both of us to "eight year olds, in the playground", ( which I thought showed more about his mental age than that of anyone else ) simply provoked my reaction, which I think was well deserved in view of the bullying way in which you posted earlier on in the thread. Enough said. Now moving on to the question raised by CJB on the 10th June, I am not sure of the answer, but there might be one method to explore which may prove profitable. There is a strange anomaly at present with all of the Three tariffs. Contracts deduct minutes for calling voicemail; pay & go charge a whopping 15p per minute ( with a minimum charge of one minute, as I have found to my cost ); BUT SIM ONLY deals give voicemail messages ( both sent and collected ) entirely free of charge. I have just myself taken out a Zero SIM contract for just this purpose, and intend to make all of my Skype calls using it, ( so that if my S2, for example, diverts to voicemail, I can collect it for free. ) ;) Now what I don't know, as yet, is if you can collect voicemail from a pay & go SIM, using the free voicemail facility on a SIM only contract. ( I do know this can be done on an OVP Virgin SIM, which can be used to collect voicemail free from other Orange numbers. ) Has anyone tested this yet on a SIM ONLY contract, or indeed do they know what procedure one has to use to collect voicemail messages from another number ( on either Orange or 3 )? It MIGHT be worth finding out. ;)

It looked to me that you had simply replied from an alternative email address. It gets a bit confusing with so many Steve's being encountered on these groups! I really don't get the point of Usenet groups in any case: perhaps you will kindly explain why so many can post under the same username!

It is not too bad with unusual names like 'Dave', but common names like 'Steve' are obviously going to be repeated ;-) |
