Are you over-stating or is there a problem with your computer and some update is repeating over and over? (You can tell by noting the KB###### of the updates being installed.) Now is a great time to point you to one of the easiest ways to find information on problems you may be having and solutions others have found: Search using Google! http://www.google.com/ (How-to: http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/basics.html ) Using only your words and where you posted... Turn off auto-update Windows XP http://www.google.com/search?q=Turn+off+auto-update+Windows+XP Which will lead you to: How to configure and use Automatic Updates in Windows XP http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306525 Which has a section titled, "Turn off Automatic Updates"... Which states: "If you want to turn off the automatic updates, follow these steps: Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then press ENTER. Click the Automatic Updates tab, and then click to select Turn off Automatic Updates. Click OK." Come back, reply to this message...
