Thanks for the note Vinod.

I went through the check (I'm on Vista RTM though) that Kai-Uwe v. d. Ohe
posted and it shows that performance counter at 0. So it looks like I'm not
getting the hardware assist.

That's dissappointing though because I'm running a really new laptop with a
Core 2 Duo processor. All the docs I can find state that the processor
should support hardware VT.

Is there any limitations running VPC 2007 (the RC build) on Vista?

Earlier on in this thread I posted that I had looked through my BIOS...
there's no mention of hardware virtualization or VT anywhere.

So we're back to the question... why isn't it available?
