Sure doesn't. The backup was byte for byte the same as the file it thought was bad. It replaced a "bad" file, with a "good" file, based solely on it's name and location; NOT on what the file actually was. His reliance on other peoples programs is the work of a sloppy cut/paste job. -- Dustin Cook Author of BugHunter - MalWare Removal Tool -V2.0 web: http://bughunter.it-mate.co.uk email: bughunter.dustin(a)gmail.com.removethis Last updated: January 4th, 2007
From: pcbutts1 on 8 Jan 2007 22:37 Here's another one "Do I have to register with your office to be protected? No. In general, registration is voluntary. Copyright exists from the moment the work is created. You will have to register, however, if you wish to bring a lawsuit for infringement of a U.S. work. " And this one "Before an infringement suit may be filed in court, registration is necessary for works of U.S. origin. " This one too! "How is a copyright different from a patent or a trademark? Copyright protects original works of authorship, while a patent protects inventions or discoveries. Ideas and discoveries are not protected by the copyright law, although the way in which they are expressed may be. A trademark protects words, phrases, symbols, or designs identifying the source of the goods or services of one party and distinguishing them from those of others. " Oops I almost forgot this one "What is copyright? Copyright is a form of protection grounded in the U.S. Constitution and granted by law for original works of authorship fixed in a tangible medium of expression. Copyright covers both published and unpublished works." Now the moral of the story is. You can't copyright a word. Your Superantispyware.com is not my superantispyware.exe. Your threats and no action makes you a stupid fool. -- Newsgroup Trolls. Read about mine here http://www.pcbutts1.com/downloads The list grows. It doesn't have to be formally registered. It's helpful, but not required. The moment his program was started, he owns it's copyright. He clearly identifies this in the program and it's documentation, and it's website. If he wants to make an issue of this, he might have something to go at you with. Once your sued, everybody gets to find out for sure whether or not your Christopher Butts and where or not you really work for NASA. And if you do, Best hope nobody forwards examples of your work to them.... -- Dustin Cook Author of BugHunter - MalWare Removal Tool -V2.0 web: http://bughunter.it-mate.co.uk email: bughunter.dustin(a)gmail.com.removethis Last updated: January 4th, 2007 |
