I am a Scientist and Professional Engineer and hence do know when
somebody is bullshitting! I know the system, I know where technology
stands or can find out pretty dammed quick. In fact most ordinary
people can nowadays but can draw the wrong conclusions of course.
Having said that we cannot make bold statements in public and say
'UFOs" are real etc etc without hard evidence. There is plenty
anectdotal evidence of course but that doesn't count. Reminds me of
the story of ball lightning. It was thought to be impossible until
later proven true. The Scientific Heretics were ridiculed.
There are many such cases - the electric light bulb. A prof in London
gave a seminar at the royal institution stating how it was impossible
to make a light-bulb that would last any length of time that would be
of use whilst at the same time Edison was demonstrating his bulb in
the US! (and Swann had already done something similar in England). To
say that UFOs have never been studied would be wrong too since many
Governments have been studying them for some time - in particular
Russia and the US - each worried that the other side was the inventor.
This work was of course done in secret. Added to that there is a very
real "nutter" element as regards UFOs which borders on religion and is
not nice viewing. A good example is some of the so-called "crop-
circle" watchers or Jesus was an alien types.

In the 1990s a UK company made this series and it is the best to date
on UFOS since all of the people seeing them are professional from
Pilots to Scientists and the like.
