There's a bookmarklet at
<http://lab.arc90.com/experiments/readability/> which is supposed to do
something similar. Perhaps there are clues in it?

Right hand end of the URL field, a "Reader" grey button exists when
Safari thinks it's useful.

Eg, http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/06/08/safari_5_reader/ gets one
once it's finished loading.

I *really* like the way it's bright enough to dip through "next page"
links.

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye. Then it's a scavenger hunt.

Golly yes, so it does. One reason I was having a hgard time finding it
was that sometimes, it doesn't.

I also find it easier to read articles in the original format.

It's *very* different, isn't it? Feels more like reading something
that ought to be dry and academic, must be the typeface and
sparsenesss.

Thank you for your input. Now, if you have something substantive to
bring to the discussion, kindly do. Otherwise, isn't there an
eternal flamefest that would peter out if you won't keep feeding it?
