I agree with your analysis zoara, that this spamming company (a) might
charge large spurious amounts to your credit card, (b) might deliver a
defective product, and (c) will probably not respond to complaints.

But did you really buy anything from them? I doubt it, and I think your
anecdote is fictitious and rhetorical, like my question. :) Perhaps the
story you told is the best way to warn people off though.
