Do you have iTunes?

It's also bundled with Ulead audio products and another program called
Power Director.

If you don't have any of these, maybe you'll need to have another talk
with your son.

This might help, if you follow up to the middle of instruction #3:

BWAHAHA! There's an option in CleanUp! to turn the sound off.

Maybe uninstalling and reinstalling SWB it will correct the problem?

CharlieDontSurf's reply had a link[1] to download the program - you could
try installing it, restarting the PC then attempting the uninstall again.

If that fails he also gave a link[2] to the Microsoft Installer Cleanup
utility that can remove broken installs of this ilk.

Just to confirm the above. I have Spyware Blaster 3.4, and have never been
asked to download a plugin. I would suggest that you do a clean re-install.

Susan

I had the same problem a few weeks ago.

Updating SpywareBlaster 3.4 would bring up the Smartsound Quicktracks
installation window.

In my case I traced Smartsound Quicktracks to Ulead's Video Studio 9 that I
have on my system.

Smartsound Quicktracks is an Audio component of Video Studio that allows the
addition of automatically generated background music to your Video.
To be honest I don't at this point have a lot of idea how it works as I've
only recently got VS9, more to the point how the two got crosslinked is even
more of a mystery.

Now unfortunately I can't remember precisely how I 'fixed' it but I vaguely
remember either just persisting with the updates in Spyware Blaster & it
came right or I uninstalled Spyware Blaster & reinstalled after a reboot.

Regards
Paul.
