We are setting up a network that currently uses WindowsNT Server (yes, you read that correctly). We are going to use Windows 2008 R2 Standard. This network only has 6 clients. Should we use the router as the DHCP server or should we use the Server for both DNS and DHCP? The clients are XP Pro and WIndows7 Than... 13 May 2010 21:36

Is there a way to easily make a reservation from a leased IP address? The MAC address is already there so I would thing it would be sensible to have the option to just right-click on a particular lease and choose reserve or something. Maybe I'm missing something and the option exists somewhere else. If so can someo... 16 May 2010 00:37

+Bob+ wrote: Is there some option I need to enable to have "Shutdown" available at the initial logon screen? After booting my server, it normally just sits at the logon screen. Windows 2008 Physical Disk Permon Counter Instance
I'm trying to use Windows 2008 Reliability and Performance Monitor to keep track of some Physical Disk Stats. When I go to select instances of the object, I'd expect to see the Physical Drives (letters) on my computer, but I see many more choices than the number of physical drives - things like '10#1, 12, 12#1... 10 May 2010 21:02
