Vista Service pack 1 install I am trying to install the Vista service pack 1 on my vista premium home edition and it keeps failing with the 0x80070002 error. I have cleaned up files and tried as error suggestions I still cannot seem to install it. I have also used the system readiness tool. Updates fail to download/install Had to reinstall Vista a week ago. Now Windows Update doesn't seem to work properly. When running Windows Update I get a window saying "X updates are downloaded" but the speed is 0. After a while I get an error message in the Update History saying the updates failed. No Support - error code 80071A90 I have 25 updats that are failed because of that same code and there is no information on that code. Why is there a code exisiting if no one can tell you what it means? No idea what to do. They are supposedly important updates and then there a few more recomended updates that failed with the same code as well. ... 25 Mar 2010 22:03
