It looks like Oracle will at least provide more funding .. People should
remember, now that Oracle has the product, it needs to make money .. It will
make money if it's the best product available, and it does the job the best

That saddens me .. Almost all server's should be behind a firewall anyway,

Well, Id rather have a proper conversation about it .. MySql *does* have
it's weaknesses (no questions about it) .. but to say it's not enterprise
capable is .. well, weird... And I'd like to know more tbh =]

Without going into detail (unless you would like to/feel it beneficial), do
you have Oracle deployed in your environment(s)?
