I quite like my opensuse 11.2, but one thing I haven't figured out is
why sometimes, the drag-and-drop from dolphin into gtkpod or k3b doesn't
work, to give two examples I remember. It just won't let me grab them
with my mouse. As if it ignored what I'd selected.

Anybody experience the same?
Any ideas on why that is?

Thanks.

I hate Dolphin. I always use Krusader or Gnome commander. Never have a
problem with them.

dolphin-4.3.5-0.1.1 to k3b-1.91.0_rc2-0.pm.3.2 works fine on my system.
I don't use gtkpod so I can't check that...yet. Why don't you try
launching all 3 of those apps you mentioned from separate terminals and
see what happens when you try to grap/drag files from dolphin and/or
gtkpod to k3b.... That might help track down your problem. Also, don't
forget to mention which version of each of these applications you are
running as well as which desktop environment....

I use the same version of Dolphin.
To gtkpod 0.99.14-3.3 and to k3b 1.70.0-40.

Apparently, it makes a difference which view I use in Dolphin. In
"details" mode, it will often not let me grab the files, but in "icons"
mode I just found out it works. I've also found out on previous
occasions that re-starting Dolphin sometimes fixes the issue as well.
But then it suddenly stops working again, for no apparent reason.
Konqueror is the same, btw.
I can't work in icons view, this is a bit of a nuisance...

I'll see how krusader does, now.

Dolphin is a pest.
