-1- Read Paul Koch's Backup and Restore section of insideoe and all of
its associated/referred pages especially OE files & registry settings

-2- Choose a style of backup as he describes simple, complete or partial

-3- If appropriate for your chosen style, consider David Guess's free OE
Quick Backup or other tools as described

Why do you put 'Mr' in your newsreader's handle/nym field?

I think OE takes that from the username when it's first set up.

If you want to try something different, switch from OE to Mozilla
Thunderbird. All you need for a backup is a copy of your Profile folder
(or you can use MozBackup). Piece of cake!

No, it doesn't. That OP OE is version 6.00.2900.3311 and I am familiar
with how it handles the configuration during setup.

However, further research indicates that Percy surname is used for women
as well as men, which I didn't know. According to one website, Percy is
(just) 1.3 times more frequently used as a male surname than female.

So, I believe that eliminating the confusion of the gender of the name
would be worthwhile if people are inclined to think that Percy is a
female name.
