I put this together for myself, then thought I might as well post it.
Comparison of Apple's battery life claims for the various models of
iPhone - might be of interest to see how much extra battery life you
might expect from the iPhone 4 when upgrading from older models (I'm
coming from the 3G and only make it through a day because it charges in
the car dock during my commute).

web 3g - 5 5 6
talk 2g 8 10 12 14
talk 3g - 5 5 7
music 24 24 30 40

Hope someone finds this useful.

Do you mean that the battery life has sigificantly deteriorated since
you've owned it?

Being on O2 the chances of a 3g or a 3gs being able to browse or make a call
over a 3g connection is quite remote.

Voda will usually browse on 3G (sometimes with a 30 second startup
lag), but calls are more sporadic. The wonders of modern technology,
eh?

The grilfiend got 8 days out of her original iPhone the other week. I
was very impressed. No calls, a few texts, primary use was as a clock!

Same here. And in answer to zoara this hasn't changed since the day I
got it new. I keep the Bluetooth off, location off and on Edge except
when I really need something fast. This way I get through the
day....just.
