Depends - I actually often use it for just a handful of tasks and
ignore its more advanced features. That's exactly why I prefer it to
OmniFocus - OmniFocus forces me to care about complexity to do
anything, Things doesn't really care and lets me use it as a glorified
tick box f that's what prefer.

The only things from OmniFocus I'd quite like are location-aware tasks
(no matter how enthused I am, I really can't clean my toaster whilst
I'm at work) and the ability to add a photo to a task. The rest -
OmniFocus is too heavyweight for me.

An even more simple choice than Things is Task Paper - that really is a
glorified tick list, and on the Mac side you can just use text files to
create the lists if you don't want to go into the app proper.

Cheers,
Ian

Sure, I do that all the time. But tasks? I know iCal does tasks but I
can't see how to do tasks on the iPhone calendar app...

how can you set multiple reminders for an event using the iphone
calendar app? i'd like this, but I can't see the option to do it.

I don't think you can. However, the screen is an ideal size for
Post-it(R) notes.
