How computers what? If you're going to call names, at least do it in
English :-)

'Fraid not. I simply refuse to update for updates sake. Tell me what
you're going to fix and fix it correctly - or leave me alone.

My head is anywhere but in the sand. I've read through the 10.5.7
update pages. Have you?

It applies nothing that I care about. I don't need security patches to
stuff I never use. I have a solid firewall. I don't have an iPhone. I
manage my system; if I find an update I feel is useful, I apply it. If
not, I want Big Brother out of my life.

I've been working with computers longer than Apple has made Macs - and
remember the days when they did it well. (In fact, I remember when they
were a computer company as opposed to the music/phone/gadget company
which incidentally makes computers they are now). That's the real pain.
They used to care about more than making money.

it fixes itunes. if you want itunes, you must upgrade. if not, then
don't. very simple.

I believe he meant that those things have received either bug fixes or
significant improvements since 10.5.6, so the only reason to avoid upgrading
from 10.5.6 would be if you don't use any of them. Conversely, if you DO use
them and are still on 10.5.6, you'd benefit from the bug fixes and improvements
in later updates.
