Because Exchange and Google Mail are on different buttons in the setup screen, and if I tap the Exchange button it tells me I can't set up more than one account (I have one set up already), whereas tapping the Gmail button lets me start setting it up. Presumably the Gmail button sets up push? I get the impression that the 'standard' GMail setup is either a timed or manual check, not push. I'd love to be wrong though.
