The OP was talking about MP3 player not multimedia player.

True but I was pointing out that kaffeine also plays wma, ogg, wmv, avi,
mp1, mpg, jpg, etc.

Jeez, I really didn't want a war with Aramok lovers. Don't know about 2
sound cards because I disabled my onboard that I don't need anyway. My
keyboard is configured to do tricks too! I did it through gnome.

I have my music arranged in folders by Album so easy to play what I want.
Right click I get some mp3info available, playlist displays artist,
album,track, time.

Yep you're right! Aramok's the world greatest mp3 player for Linux.

Is it still supported?

Why the sarcasm? I was just pointing out that Amarok uses standard libs
also, and that mplayer is not a library. FYI, I don't use Amarok,
although I keep up with it's development. I think Amarok is a great
program. However, it is too heavy weight for my taste and I don't need
all that eye candy. I personally use mpd on the backend and a simple
GNUstep frontend called MPDCon- I am a Stepper.
