Well, it's just that I'm on my second 6600 card and I am having problems with the CPU temperature from one game (GTR). When this happens the machine just powers down - no BSOD or anything. The perversity of it all is that it is not the graphics card that runs hot, just the CPU. The first card was a 'PixelView' 128MB 6600 GT. It was overclocked and it was spewing a jet of of extremely hot air into the cage. With two large fans everything else was running smooth and cool, though. Last week, I had enough of it and got an AOpen 256MB 6600 (no GT) it apparently is not overclocked and the GPU is not at all as hot as the first. Playing away in GTR is fine, but if I take a break and walk away, it blacks out completely again and the CPU is very hot. I started believing the 6600's had a BIOS problem (or whatever) since apparently it let's the CPU take a lot of stress, the your message came along and now I don't know any more. I would like to know more about what everybody out there is experiencing. By the way - I'm on AGP still. Tony. . .
