But maybe someone (not me necessarily) could give you an alternate way of solving the problem if you'd post your image to http://drop.io. Because really, do you expect someone to give suggestions on an image analysis solution without an image to look at??? But if you post something, I'm not guaranteeing that I will be the one to give you an answer. If it's urgent I suggest you continue with what you're doing because trying to implement some new technique suggested by someone else may not get you your answer by the end of the week (or whatever constitutes "urgent" for you).

The PNG file shows four tall but narrow lip images. If the originals are not like that, please make them individually available.
