I don't understand why people are so concerned about security. In my
case, there are no other wireless networks being picked up by my Mac.
And I'm trying to stop a 26-year-old female grocery store checker from
using my wireless network without paying for it.

I'm using an 8-character alpha-numeric password with WPA2.

Why would i need more?

OK, my network is now password protected using WPA2. But I can no longer
share between my MBP and my mini. Before, I could simply open a new
finder window and click on "Connect As...", enter my password and
connect the two machines. Now I get this...

Connection failed
The server "r7" may not exist or it is unavailable at
this time. Check the server name or IP address,
check your network connection, and then try again.

What do I have to do?

Thanks for responding.
I restarted both systems and that seems to have done it. Everything's
connecting now.
