From: Cliff Galiher - MVP on 5 Apr 2010 14:41 Based on what you describe, you have one of two possibilities going on: 1) You missed a place on the server where the old name still exists and thus is the one being used. Where exactly I couldn't tell you, since that information is stored several places. 2) Your offline address book (on the server) is not getting refreshed, which it should do every 24 hrs, and outlook, in turn, is getting that stale information. For #1, you'll just have to dig through all of the account settings INCLUDING the exchange settings on the server. For #2, if the OAB is not refreshing then there should also be related event logs describing the specific problem Exchange had when it tried. There are several possible causes, so if this is indeed the cause, we won't be able to get more specific on a fix until the cause is known. -Cliff "SBS user" <user(a)domain.com> wrote in message news:#BFTC$N1KHA.5536(a)TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > I am still having trouble with this and want some more explination. Did you by chance also check the GAL from a current Outlook installation, that's not set to Cached Mode, to see if the GAL picked up the change? I have to agree with Cliff with #1 to double check the account settings. If this is SBS 2008, you will want to check the the properties of the account in the SBS console, ADUC and the EMC (Ex Mgmt Console) under Exchange mailboxes, to see if there was something missed. If SBS 2003, check all tabs, including how the name "looks" in ADUC, as well as in the mailboxes list in the ESM (Ex Sytem Manager). Cliff also made a good point about the OAB. When you choose to update the OAB, are there any errors, Event logs or otherwise? How about on the server. Ace |
